November 2009 may still be a way off, but enormous interest is already being shown in Thailand 's third big tri-service military exhibition ‘Defense & Security 2009'. The show opens in Bangkok on November 4 next year but the early enthusiasm of international participants has taken everyone by surprise. Already nine nations have committed and around 40% of exhibition space at the ultra modern IMPACT Exhibition Centre in Bangkok has been appropriated.

The 2009 event has been named,
“Into The Future” and will focus on the direction of 21 st century weaponry, which as you can imagine is highly dependant on computer science and technology. The exhibits promise to be fascinating and anticipation is already running high. The special security section also promises to be of great interest in an ever-more security conscious world. Overall some 600 companies are expected to be represented and at least 25 official delegations will be attending on invitation from the Thai Department Ministry of Defence.
